Accred documentation

To start with Accred, create your organization in Accred Hub; you become its Owner. Turn on the apps you need, invite your team by email or with a shareable invite link, and assign Consult seats person by person. Assess also starts without an account. The quick starts below cover the first steps in each app.

Accred Hub: create your organization

  1. Create your organization in Hub. You become its Owner and land on Overview.
  2. Turn on the apps you need. Turning on Consult starts a 30-day free trial with up to 10 seats; Connect and Migrate are free to turn on.
  3. Invite members from People. Hub emails each invitation from no-reply@hub.accredconsulting.com, or you can copy a shareable invite link.
  4. Assign Consult seats person by person. Assess, Manage, and Migrate need no seat.
  5. Open any app from the top-bar tabs. An app you cannot open stays listed with the reason.

Who can open what is explained in roles, seats, and app access.

Accred Consult: first client and project

  1. Open Consult from Hub.
  2. Add a client and its contacts.
  3. Create a project with phases and tasks, and attach documents for approval.
  4. Triage support tickets and share a client-scoped portal link for visible support work.
  5. Log time against the project or ticket.
  6. Optionally, connect your organization’s Microsoft Teams channel for alerts.

Automated client emails and tenant discovery are coming soon; until then Consult does not send messages or contact Microsoft.

Accred Migrate: first migration project

  1. Open Migrate from Hub and add a client. The guided checklist walks from adding a client to running a pilot.
  2. Connect the client’s source and destination tenants.
  3. Import and review mappings, then run read-only prechecks.
  4. Run a pilot, then migrate in scheduled waves.
  5. Validate, cut over, and sign off the project with its evidence.

Runs execute on a secure runner that must be online. Migrate is in early access and is not certified. Its support matrix marks each item as tested live between Accred test tenants or tested with recorded data, and items marked coming soon are not available for customer migrations.

Accred Connect: enroll a device

  1. An Owner or Admin turns Connect on in Hub. It is free, with no seats.
  2. Create an enrollment installer for a client and location.
  3. Run the installer on a Windows device. The preview installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows shows an unknown-publisher warning.
  4. The device appears with its online status, last check-in, and inventory.
  5. Revoke the installer when it should stop working.

Owners and Admins manage devices; other members view inventory. Remote screen, files, and PowerShell are coming soon.

Accred Assess: run a readiness assessment

  1. Start a free assessment. No account or card is needed.
  2. Record your decisions on the priority controls.
  3. To connect Microsoft 365 for read-only discovery and save results to your organization, sign in with Hub.
  4. For all 67 controls, framework alignment, and the full report, buy the expanded assessment: $99 one-time per organization.

Discovery observations never change the readiness score. Results are advisory readiness, not compliance or certification.

Accred Manage: connect your tenant

  1. Open Manage from Hub. Every role except Viewer can open it, with no seat.
  2. Connect your Microsoft 365 tenant and grant administrator consent.
  3. Work the findings queue, ranked by severity.
  4. Run access reviews and new-joiner workflows. Each ends in a verified, pending, partial, failed, or manual result.

Manage works with one tenant per organization. Access-review removals run only after an Owner or Admin approves them.

Accred Protect: first backup

  1. An Owner or Admin starts the Protect trial in Hub: 30 days, up to 10 protected users, no card.
  2. Open Protect from Hub and connect your Microsoft 365 tenant: sign in as a tenant administrator, then grant administrator consent.
  3. Set the backup policy: Exchange, OneDrive, or both, how often to back up, and how long to keep versions.
  4. The first backup reads everything; later runs copy only new and changed items.
  5. To restore, pick a protected user, a workload, and a date and time, then select the items. Nothing is overwritten.

Protect backs up Exchange Online mail and OneDrive only; SharePoint and Teams are not covered yet. Only Owners and Admins can browse backups or restore.

Accred License: first license findings

  1. Open License from Hub. It is included with every organization, with no price yet.
  2. Connect a client’s Microsoft 365 tenant and grant administrator consent.
  3. Review the license findings. Each names the licenses involved and an estimated monthly saving.
  4. Build a quote and submit the order. An Owner or Admin who is not the requester approves it.

Orders are simulated for now: each one is checked and recorded, and nothing is sent to a distributor or billed.

Accred Fleet: see every customer

  1. Open Fleet from Hub. It is included with every organization, with no price yet.
  2. Fleet lists the customer organizations you manage in Hub.
  3. Owners and Admins set each staff member’s access: all customers or an assigned list.

Health, GDAP status, drift, and the Manage, Protect, and License roll-ups show “No sources connected yet” until those connections are turned on.

Accred Devices: first Intune findings

  1. An Owner or Admin starts the Devices trial in Hub: 30 days, up to 50 managed devices, no card.
  2. Open Devices from Hub and connect the client’s Microsoft 365 tenant with administrator consent.
  3. Devices reads the tenant’s Intune inventory and ranks findings about compliance, encryption, Autopilot, updates, and apps.
  4. Work each finding: it lists the affected devices and a remediation step.

Devices runs on the client’s own Intune license. Accred Manage lists Intune devices as part of tenant administration; Devices goes deeper on endpoints.

Accred Aware: first phishing simulation report

  1. Open Aware from Hub. It is a free preview, included with every organization; Owners, Admins, and Members can open it.
  2. Choose Add sample clients to see every report with sample data, no tenant needed.
  3. To connect a real client, an Owner or Admin chooses Connect client, and an admin of that client tenant consents to Aware’s Microsoft Entra app. Include the optional permission to launch simulations if you want to launch them from Aware.
  4. Open the monthly summary for a client, then copy it, print it, or export its figures as CSV.
  5. To launch one of Microsoft’s simulations, an Owner or Admin opens Launch simulation, chooses the payload, recipients, training, and start time, and reviews it before Aware asks Microsoft Defender to run it.

Each client tenant needs Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 2, which is included in Microsoft 365 E5. Microsoft Defender runs every simulation: it sends the email, hosts the login and landing pages, sends the notifications, and assigns the training. Aware sends no email itself, builds no payloads, hosts no pages, and captures no credentials.
